Astitva
women empowerment campaign by Navratan through vocational training
Navratan launched Astitva with a vision to team up with the slum women in a centre
where they can learn sewing and stitching and also find their hidden empowerment
to exist with dignity. And it happened….. With 5 centers successfully running and
4 more to come in noida slums and remote villages, around 300 women have already
enrolled themselves in these centres and around 160 have been granted certificates
by Navratan which makes them self sufficient as trained manpower.
Navratan is working hard to find work for these women and create employment opportunities
for them.
We appeal to you all to donate sewing machines, cloth for teaching stitching or
any other help you can volunteer.
